Our Pricing Calculation Guide

How we form a free quotation - skip hire in comparison

Understanding how we calculate the cost of your waste removal - Disposal quotes explained
There are a few main factors we take into consideration when quoting the cost of your waste removal which include:

• accessibility
• weight/volume/type of the load/s
• time required to complete the work
• x labour

Why we do not publish a price list
Whilst we could identify individual waste item costs for smaller collections, (of which the list is endless) and although that would identify a price for single item collection it would not necessarily work for medium to large waste removal work.

For example, if you were to manage to find everything in an itemised list for larger collections and add the pricing together then you would probably find the calculation to appear expensive and our free quotation would work out to be cheaper than your personal estimation.

For this reason we do not itemise waste prices and is not how we calculate our quotations so it would be unfair to you, and for us, attempting to illustrate a price for your waste utilising a list as it is a crude and ineffective method to price up a job. Instead what we do is generalise the entire load and assess its overall weight when making a quotation. We find this practice to be more accurate and fairer to our customers when forming a quotation.

Remember our quotations are completely free so you are not under any obligation to contract our services.

How we are commercially charged to dispose of your waste
When we transfer your waste to a waste management centre our vehicles are placed on a weighbridge prior to unloading and then reweighed again after transfer. We are then charged accordingly for every kilo we weigh in. This is why we calculate your waste as a whole rather than individual fractions. Different waste types have different tariffs so we can help with that also by segregating your waste and reducing the cost further.

Please note: For very large waste removals especially where the waste has been piled up in a heap and difficult to assess we will not give a quotation but an estimation instead. For waste removals such as these we will keep you updated regarding the cost transferring each individual varied load we weigh in at the waste transfer station. Only by using this method on this type of load will enable us to give you a fair price for the waste removed.

If the customer insists on a quotation then we would have no alternative but to 'over quote' to cover the cost of any hidden heavy items in the waste that we cannot see that the customer has forgotten was there. If we find that after weighing in the price was too high we will then reduce the price of the final charge. We only want fair prices for both parties.

Remember our quotations are completely free so you are not under any obligation to contract our services.
Considering hiring a skip?
Skip price example and logistics by comparison to hiring our services

Please note: Before reading this section it is not our intention to deter you from the benefits of hiring a skip for larger projects but we would like to highlight the differences between skip hire in comparison to hiring our services.

What do skip (yards) dimensions mean?
Lets take a look at a 6 yard skip. It holds approximately 6 cubic yards of waste or 4.6 cubic metres - roughly the equivalent of 55-60 large bin bags of rubbish, or about 8-10 trips to the local tip!
(We can take all of your waste with no restriction on cubic capacity)

How big is a 6 yard skip?
Dimensions (L)317cm/10ft x (W)182cm/6ft x (H)99cm/3ft3"
Our vehicle Dimensions (L)427cm/14ft x (W)213cm/7ft x (H) 122cm/4ft) with payload of 1200 kilograms/1.2  imperial tons per run.

How much volume can a 6 yard skip contain?
This type of skip can cope with a large kitchen rip out and is also ideal for large rubbish clearances
(Usually we can easily carry this type of capacity in a single journey arriving with an empty vehicle)

How much does a skip cost to hire?
Prices do vary with different skip hire companies. We found a general price of £240.00 - £270.00 but we recommend that you check this for yourself.
(Depending on the weight of your waste we are usually around 25% cheaper than hiring a skip and our labour is inclusive in the price)
Other key points to consider when hiring a skip

Positioning your skip hire
Do you mind the inconvenience of temporarily losing your driveway space or parking area outside your home or premises to accommodate a skip? (Hire our services and we are only at your property for the time required to load your waste)

Loading your skip
You will need to do all of the loading yourself or hire help. (Hire our services and all of the loading is done for you, plus it is included in the price!)

*Important Notice* If you place a skip on public property you will need to obtain a skip permit from the local authority and prices do vary depending on where you live. We researched and found that a permit can cost up to £160 but we recommend you check this yourself. (We do not require street permits to remove your waste)
