COVID-19 SAFE WORKING PRACTICE

We must protect people from harm. This includes taking reasonable steps to protect our workers and others from coronavirus. We must conduct a  COVID-19 risk assessment for all work undertaken to manage risk and protect people.


We will need to:

  1. Identify what work activity or situations might cause transmission of the virus
  2. Think about who could be at risk
  3. Decide how likely it is that someone could be exposed
  4. Act to remove the activity or situation, or if this isn't possible, control the risk
We regularly will update our COVID risk assessments to reflect any changes in legislation or guidance that may impact how we carry out our work activity, for example if there is a change in local or national restrictions.




WASTE TRANSFER NOTES - Due to these exceptional circumstances you will not be required to sign a waste transfer note, we can do that for you on your behalf. This is a temporary measure to reduce close contact risk and to maintain social distancing.

PAYMENT SAFETY - Payments can be made by either BACS, over the phone. We will accept cash but prefer card payment wherever possible. Receipts will be emailed at the point of sale before we leave site to help  keep you and your family safe. You will be asked for your email address on the day of waste collection so we can issue you a digital receipt for your proof of payment. 

DISCUSS WITH US - As a precautionary measure we can discuss with you over the phone how YOU want your waste removed and the work carried out safely before any in person contact is made so as both parties are happy with the arrangements agreed. We will strictly comply with your instructions and would appreciate that you do the same with ours. 

TRIED AND TESTED - We have already adopted these processes with many of our customers since March 2020 so we know this work method is effective.
